Whoa - that came out of nowhere. I was checking my mail, when suddenly
the e-mail from CNet was received. Attached was an affidavit that I
must sign and fax back to certain person at CNet. but I have some
questions: 1. I'm not from US, so can I still get the amazon Gift Certificate upon signing and faxing the form? I didn't have to do this affidavit signing years back, IIRC. 2. I don't understand the legal "junk" in that affidavit... I hope it still gives me the right to update the guide and submit it to other sites? --- Now Playing: Ar Tonelico II youtube.com/view_play_list?p=4D5662F701A265ED (Lost Odyssey channel) |

And lastly: When faxing something from outside US into a US state
(California in this case), which numbers come before the fax number
provided in e-mail? --- Now Playing: Ar Tonelico II youtube.com/view_play_list?p=4D5662F701A265ED (Lost Odyssey channel) |

My understanding is that once you sign the form, your work becomes
exclusive to CNET. I may be wrong because it has been months since I
signed one (last November) but that was my understanding. The country
code for the US is 1, so it should be 1-555-555-5555, with the 5's
being the actual fax number. --- Check out my eBay auctions: http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZarguro |

Well for one, I'm nowhere as good as alot of you writers who do deserve
it (and I'm not looking for sympathy, just being honest). And two, I'm
gonna try and submit my Power Rangers Super Legends FAQ as my only
attempt at it, but I'm not seeing that work either (even though I am
very detailed and covering the game inside and out). I understand I may
not win, which is fine, but I don't want to send it in only to see that
happen, you know? --- How much is a large water? - 50 cents How much is a free water? - O_o |

Actually, a less covered game that has as much as possible in a guide
has a better chance of winning than a mildly covered guide. When I won for Atelier Iris, mine was the first full circle guide and my Odin Sphere guide was the only one up at the time when I submitted it for FotM. When I won for Ar tonelico, mine was only the second guide posted for it and for Atelier Iris 3, mine was only the third, but most comprehensive. The only one that I've won that was mildly covered was Lunar Legend. --- Total Files/Complete FAQs: 55/39 http://club.ign.com/b/list/custom?&lid=100018&owner=PeTeRL90&mode=vown |

Got the answer. I mailed the person who sent me the e-mail notice and
she said that it's perfectly fine to continue updating the guide, or
allowing other sites to host it. The affidavit is there only for legal
reasons, so that they can send someone their prize. --- Now Playing: Ar Tonelico II youtube.com/view_play_list?p=4D5662F701A265ED (Lost Odyssey channel) |

You don't really have to fax it. I've just been scanning it and then submitting it to them that way ever since they started e-mailing the winners and I've had no problems so far with it. --- Total Files/Complete FAQs: 55/39 http://club.ign.com/b/list/custom?&lid=100018&owner=PeTeRL90&mode=vown |

Congrats to the winners. I would never bother to send my guide in for FOTM, due to you having to live in America and that they E-Mail you now. Allow it for all countries and no E-Mail and I would be happy to try my newest guide, although I doubt it would win. --- www.geocities.com/games_ps2_pc/ Trolls are a separate race. - redrick2 |

Yeah, several non US people have won before (Matt being one of them I
believe) and they've had no problems using a fake US address for an
online gift certificate. --- Total Files/Complete FAQs: 55/39 http://club.ign.com/b/list/custom?&lid=100018&owner=PeTeRL90&mode=vown |
