I just got food poisioning. Don't submit guides for others.

I have no choice but to confess this now so others won't do the same. While I still have my original files of the infracted games, I submitted guides on behalf on some other people and just recently got in trouble for it because one of them (underage whom was possibly going to be the new "me") had been jacking stuff from an old book series I vaguely remember till recently and because of it, I am disarming any file that I submitted on other's behalf whether they did it themselves or not.
So my contrib page may suffer a little but I still got my originals to replace them.

By food poisoning I meant that one of the peeps I posted guides for had fed me a lot of bad guides that put my long FAQ carrer in jeopardy.

That's why you should only submit your own work under your own name...
By the way, if it was someone else's work you were submitting all this time, why were you submitting them with "written by DJ Tigresa and Pantera Steel" or whatever on them?

And you see nothing wrong with that..? It's dishonest, and above all it's still plagiarism. You seem to be a bit more concerned about your contributor page taking a hit due to this major issue, rather than being concerned about the issue itself. You've got your priorities mixed, dear.

It was their idea in the first place as a simple "family" affair. While me and sis put each others' name on the guide and submit it with my name whether we flew in the guide solo or not since we family, the 3 amigos (now 2) [as I call them] ages 12, 15 and 16 didn't want their names on the guides and wanted to stay unknown.
They are three online kids of no relation to us or each other whom I've known on the net for 3 years but I treat em like their my offspring. Just like I call Galen Komatsu my older bro though he's not. They even call me "Madre Tiggy" but the youngest is out the fold now especially when my birthday just ended on that sour note. #-_-

oh I'll bounce back. However, I'll never be at ease just yet. While I got rid of the snake in regime, there till a rat I need to find and do away with. Judging from Ceej's emails, he may have helped lead to the excommunication of the snake and his corruption but the rat crippled my empire and damn near destroyed it and was probably plotting it back before the corruption or before my offspring joined my regime for that matter. The following is nothing related to my contrib page being hit (sorta) but a more personal matter:
It was too much of a coincidence that all the chaos started on my birthday and while Ceej managed to confirm some of the corruption himself but I wouldn't consider him the rat because he wouldn't have done so out of the blue or go out of his way to do it. Which means that a close foe not of GameFAQs fame (whom I probably know) knew of my b-day, knew of the corruption for some period of timen' kept quiet and figured he could **** me over on that day as a dirty B-day present and laugh it off with his comrades when my empire crumbled but his plan halfway failed. I was given the chance to disarm the corrupted files and the extra files which I did along with some of my files that I didn't want anymore.
Now if you excuse me, I will locate the rat and treat him to dinner with an online version of an execution double-9 style serving of "Pb". He probably feels a sense of justice but even justice has a huge price to pay.

1. If the person/people wanted their stuff up without a name that is cool.
2. If two of them were of age, they could create their own account to submit.
3. They could do so without a public e-mail or real names, using aliases.
4. Posting it under your name while proclaiming how you are the greatest, is not just silly, laughable, and dishonest, it is straight out ****ed up.
Assuming for a second that the "they wanted to help DJ out" bit is false as it is laid out, this is still out and out plagiarism. If the whole contributed from elsewhere and I did not know bit is true, well DJ is still getting off light here, as plagiarism is plagiarism, regardless of the ignorance of the act.
When will plagiarism return to the utterly taboo act it once was? I remember even in 2003 it would be an offence for which a person would be reviled and outcasted, IF THEY GOT TO KEEP THEIR CRP INTACT/ACCOUNT! Nowadays it seems they get nothing more than a few things ripped down, with nothing of note happening at all otherwise (unless you push it like that one guy who stole all the wrestling FAQs). I know it sure seems to me that there is NO DETERRENT to this behaviour, which encourages more of this rampant theft and disrespect. As a FAQ author, I find this let down on the criminals amongst us to be both sad and a slap to the face of the hard workers out there who do all their own original content.

From your posts DJ, you seem to have no remorse whatsoever for what you have done. All you care about is your precious "long FAQing career" and your 10 MB worth of FAQ's.
Many people write FAQ's because they enjoy doing it. Unfortunately, you have given the impression not only to those of us here, but pretty much to the entire FAQing community that you want recognition for all your MB and the fact you have been doing this for a long time.
I believe it is time for you to humble yourself to the extreme and admit it is your fault, not someone else who gave you stuff to post. You didn't create the work, you just "forwarded" it. To me, that is the same as plagiarising.
Bottom line, you got off severely lucky here, however, when you start to spout off about your b-day, rats, and lead, you are showing that you are still clueless as to what is happening.

CJayC is being nice to her because supposedly her brother/friend/acquaintance/etc. sent her FAQ's that they "wrote" for her to upload because they were underage.
Unfortunately, those FAQ's that this underage person wrote were direct copies from some hint books that came out a long time ago so nobody figured that they would get caught.
Therefore, DJ was a part to this charade. It was no conspiracy or anything else. DJ used poor judgement in their quest to stoke their ego by reaching 10 MB and got slammed.

So her cat ate her homework or something and now she's all pissed off because no-one will believe her? I'm guessing the food poisoning in her case was metaphorical. Kind of a slap in the face for those of us who spent the weekend projectile vomitting.

For many things, I don't say anything. On this issue, though, I will. You see, she has been bragging about getting 10 MB or about her 300+ FAQ's. This has nothing to do with being bigger.
In other words, if she didn't draw attention to herself, she may have gotten away with it. To me, it took someone calling her out for her to admit something was wrong. In my opinion, that is worse then admitting you are wrong before anyone else calls you on it.

I completely back Devin and War Doc here, as well as everyone else who is just disgusted.
To have one of the more legendary FAQ writers turn out to be a sham is quite disillusioning for people and their view about us.
Frankly, I say the issue does not get resolved until there are formal apologies written and sent to the writer of EACH FAQ.

I was just wondering what usually happens in these cases now. I assumed that something's already happening but I don't know enough about it. It'd be nice to know what happens since I have a feeling this will come up again sometime on here, unfortunately. I know about problem reports... We tend not to see too much from the FAQ community on this board, sadly.

In an extreme example, it could be like Steve's old case, where ALL his work was ripped down.
Others such as Sini had their offending work taken down and left in shame (amongst other things).
