That's what I thought, but the counters are 2 days behind, and we're still looking at the total as of December 30th, 2005. Not that I'm saying it isn't true... just that it'll take a couple more days to be sure.

I did send CJayC that little mini petition I did on this board a few weeks back, and he responded with a simple "Not to worry". We'll see what happens.

My review counters have wrapped back to 0; my FAQ counters haven't.

Of course, it's probably only a display thing. I'd be highly surprised if the totals aren't stored in the database somewhere for both, available again once the hits page gets an update.

If I'm not mistaken, last year the "yearly" column was not implemented on "January 1st, 2005," but some months later. What it was implemented, it didn't start counting from zero. The actual total hits for each file so far that year were set in place automatically, and it went from there. Apologies if I'm remembering it wrong, but if I am correct, it means that CJayC most likely has the hits counters stored away somewhere for each file and we're just not able to see them. It seems like there's a good chance a "total" column could still be put into place that would begin with the totals that are stored on the database somewhere.

Exactly. Hell, as far as we know there could be counters which have been operating on each file since 1995.
