Not a misspell, but I frequently type not instead of no, and that's
something neither spellchecking nor auto-correct can fix. :sigh:

Off the top of my head, "necessary" is a word that I often spell wrong.
This phenomenon is due to poor memory and my inability, or perhaps
laziness, to tie said word(s) to an "anchor" in my mind.
Certain literary sayings and rules have helped mend many memory faults I've had.

I tend to tack on a y on words when I don't mean to, like if I try to
type probable, 4 out of 5 times it comes out as probably. This is
purely a typing thing, but it messes me up a lot.

An odd one. I've never had to check the spelling of the word
"definitely", it seems obvious and straightforward, however every time
I type it, the words ends up definietely. It's some weird finger
configuration with the way I type, and it's unavoidable. I've probably
deleted and reposted over a dozen posts for that one reason.

When typing, I misspell anything with an 'ing' on the end, it comes out 'ign' and I have to correct.
But in terms of actual words normally... 'disappointed' is one I sometimes have to check, because sometimes I spell it with two s's and one p. >_<

Two words that drive me bonkers.

'Necessary' used to give me trouble. I notice that
double-capitalization thing sometimes. More annoying though, I
sometimes find myself writing 'left' instead of 'right' and vice-versa
in some cases.
Which could end up becoming really confusing, but I've gotten much better about that, and it didn't happen that often to begin with.

I am a very good speller and I proofread meticulously. As such, there
are almost no typos in my FAQs (I'm open to the possibility that one
might be hidden away somewhere and I've just never seen it). I do have
a tendency to leave a whole word out of a sentence sometimes though,
which one could contend is probably worse than spelling a word wrong.
But for whatever reason, when I type "boomerang", 9 times out of 10 it comes out looking like "boomerange". I don't know why on earth I do that.

To be frank, I keep getting annoyed with colosseum. That's because
there are so many different spellings of them, and if one of them is a
misspelling, it's gotten bogged down with constant use over the ages to
ever be able to be separated from correct uses.
