Just a few things that Steve said that need to be answered by him, and a few things that I found funny.
I never claim my opinion is fact, but the opinion is fact in my mind.
I'm sorry, but this is so stupid that I don't even need to comment on it.
That takes care of the plane ticket.
What else do you need??? Seriously, you're going to see HER. Stay at her HOUSE. If you love each other so much, it shouldn't be a problem. You're going to live together one day, anyway, so you might as well get a taste for it.
I work at a video store, and therefore I get great deals. See, I do have a "mininum wage job" which i do when I'm not sitting on my ass here.
Are you full-time, out of curiosity?
You try moving to a different country, it's not as easy as you think.
A) you don't have to move there first, which would be the SINGLE DUMBEST THING IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD. You should at least visit to at least hug her first. You're moving around the globe, leaving your son, for something that you have absolutely no clue about besides the fact that your "girlfriend" lives there. Completely illogical...
Until then, YOU shut the hell up or "ante up".
What does Johnny have to prove? The ball is in YOUR court now. Dunk it. We've did our job.
Sounds like we're getting to Steve now... We're getting close to the nerve, Admiral! </pun>
And Steve, you're the King of misinformation and lies. Admiral screwed up on the timeline, so instantly everything he says is false? Looks like somebody's in denial. Of course, this is just like his "no one can say you're ugly unless they're hot" joke of an argument. On this January day of the 16th, people all around the world shall remember it as the day that Steve McFadden was officially destroyed! Cheers!
On that note, I need to save Admiral's post, because that was classic.

The fact his entire post was filled with stuff he can't possibly hope to prove is good enough for me. I mean, HE CAN'T EVEN GET THE BASIC FACTS RIGHT. How this translates into him being some sort of psychic who knows all about my real life is beyond me, since he can't even get the message board facts right.
No, I work about 28-30 a week.
Finally. it would be illogical for me to take a trip out there, come back, then move out there from a money standpoint. If I don't like it there, there's no anchor on my ass, but I have a feeling I won't be coming back.
Oh, and I can't stay at her house, as much as I'd like to. (Would make everything easier from a financial standpoint.) We're going to find a place, which costs money believe it or not.
If she lives in the country, it would be a LOT easier, and we wouldn't be having this discussion, but she lives across the globe, so a lot of fthings have to be taken care of before I move. Thankfully, I took care of the visa and passport, now I need to save up enough money, and everything will be fine.
Oh yeah, congrats on the engagement. Oh, wait. Are you scared of commitment or something? |

k, thanks for answering the questions.
Oh yeah, congrats on the engagement. Oh, wait. Are you scared of commitment or something?
You do realize how dumb this "insult" is, right? I mean, you've just instantly turned attention to the fact that A) you've never met your "fiancé," and thus have never hugged her, kissed her, or told her that you love her to her face, and B) that she doesn't even have a ring on her finger, despite your engagement. HEY! WAIT! Since you don't need an engagement ring anymore to get engaged, I can afford to propose to Val! OH YAY!

Like shooting fish in a barrel with you Steve...
"I never claim my opinion is fact, but the opinion is fact in my mind. Am I supposed to change my opinion because people disagree with it? No. I share my opinion just like they do"
Right. That's why when the guys disagreed and said she was hideous you called them a "**** sucker" and said the only girls they knew must be from paying $4.95 a minute. If you never claimed that your opinion was fact and were just sharing a thought, why the flames against those with different opinions? Awfully defensive for someone who just "shares his opinion as they do."
"Well, it's been seven months. Your math is okay."
Even if it is 7 months, it changes nothing I said. There is no excuse for not seeing someone within that time frame if you really care about her. Especially when you drop out of school, have zero expenses since your parent take care of you, and have nothing else to do with your life except save money. You can whine about the time difference, which is a convenient way to dodge the argument, but it still doesn't give you an excuse for your bull****. You yourself had planned to see her by November at the latest. Or are you going to lie about that now too?
"You try moving to a different country, it's not as easy as you think."
Actually, unlike you who just makes up stories, I really did move to a different country for 4 months. In the summer of 1999 I moved to London, lived there from mid-May to mid-August. This wasn't some school or transfer program either, it was entirely my own doing. You know how long it took me to prepare for it? 2 months. Yes, that included getting my passport set, finding a job, getting a work visa approved, arranging shipment of my things, finding an apartment, and saving money for the plane ticket and living expenses. You know how I did it in that amount of time? I didn't waste half my day posting on an internet forum or playing video games like you do. I worked two jobs and didn't blow my money on idiotic DVDs that will probably cost half as much in 6 months. It's amazing -- when someone is motivated, willing to put in effort, and isn't lying to themselves, how easy these things are to do. You could have easily gone to Australia in November if you really wanted to. But I guess talking to Gbness in chats from 7PM to 3AM is a better use of your and Karpah's time, right? What was your point about real life again?
"If making random generalizations about someone's life, mixed in with a slew of typoes and false information (a year? ha), makes a good PWNING, then yes, it was a pretty good PWNING."
At least learn to spell typos right before correcting someone else's spelling, genius.

THE RETURN OF THE ADMIRAL! *has the Admiral's babies*
Actually, unlike you who just makes up stories, I really did move to a different country for 4 months. In the summer of 1999 I moved to London, lived there from mid-May to mid-August. Yes, that included getting my passport set, finding a job, getting a work visa approved, arranging shipment of my things, finding an apartment, and saving money for the plane ticket and living expenses.
I can also say that this is true. My best friend's sister moved to London three years ago, and she did it on two month's notice, as well. It was her own doing, too.
I prefer the quote, "Anything is possible when it comes to love," Johnny. If he truly loved her, he could have had it done long ago. But I guess there are priorities above visiting Australia.
Once again: The mind is dead, but the body keeps shaking. Nice post, Johnny.
You know what I thought of last night? Would you really doubt if Bec just said that her and Steve met in a month from now, just to "get everyone off of her boyfriends back" or whatever? Of course, if she were to say such a thing, she'd be a complete moron, which I think higher than that of her. But would you really put it past the subjects? Of course, I wouldn't believe anything without a picture of them two together.

Understand that I am not taking any sides on this issue, and you all know me not to do that. But in fairness of Steve (in response to Admiral), maybe when it comes to moving overseas, some people may have it more difficult than others. Not saying that Steve is lying OR telling the truth about going to live with Bec, but the way I see it, maybe there is something standing in the way of him actually doing this. Of course, as I have said before I could be totally wrong on the subject, but do realize I am not taking any sides of this (what seems to be) petty and ridiculous matter IMO.
