Hello, and welcome to the sixth official installment of the Prolifics Tourney! Also, since it's the first of the year, Happy New Year! Anyway, I'm sure everyone here has seen this sort of tourney at least once in the past year and a half it's been going, so I don't think I have to explain things. There are a few alterations to last time's rules (particularly in the 5th bullet, and the last 2 bullets on the rule list found on the bracket; also of interest is the bolded note just above the bracket itself). So be sure to read them so there aren't any problems or misconceptions of this tourney.
From this point onward, the bracket will be found at the URL below. It contains the full bracket, updated nightly at the end of each match, as well as links to every person's CRP so you can better familiarize yourself with the works of your peers from this board, and even those you haven't seen before. I highly advise you to check them out, otherwise you won't know what you're missing!

And now, let's get this tourney underway...
1 - Devin Morgan vs. 128 - Clement Chan Zhi Li
64 - Dan GC vs. 65 - Fox

1 - Devin Morgan- nice, in-depth information. The dividers a readable, and no one who's looking at his FAQ is going to look away from the computer and look back and say, "Wait? Where was I again?"
ABSTAIN
32 - Myke- I like everything about Myke's quality of the writing. It can help you through anything, and it doesn't leave anything out, so you can finish something with all the stuff in it.
113 - black hole sun- the great thing about black hole sun is that he doesn't need huge guides to cover a game, yet he'll cover everything about the game. Take Metroid Prime for example. A huge game, but the guide is a nice size, and it can get you everything in the game.
ABSTAIN
48 - Lord Zero- I like Meowthnum's writing, but Lord Zero just beats it in everything. His FAQs, like black hole sun's, get to the point quickly, and he still uses great detail. Then there's the fact that he always finishes his stuff (except for a few things)
17 - SinirothX- possibly one of the best authors here, especially for his FF guides. I seriously think that some guides need to be split, but then again, that can mess things up. But Siniroth goes into superb detail about a game, and the more detail the better. --- Homer Simpson:Hello? Operator? Give me the number for 911! 1 - Devin Morgan (CCZL doesn't use enough Section Headers or Spaces, thus making it overly difficult to follow his work. Devin uses a simple, easy to read format that is very easy on the eyes.)
65 - Fox (Dan's paragraphs are just too long, which makes it difficult to read for any length of time. But Fox, however, gives his FAQ's a smooth flow and easy to read format. It goes a long way in my opinion.)
96 - Exdeath (Although Aaron's format is far more appealing, I feel that he just lacks the fundamental of writing. I was bothered by numerous spelling and grammar mistakes, as well as what seems to be a simple lack of vocabulary on his part. Note that I am NOT questioning his intelligence in the least.)
32 - Myke (He wins due to both his superior formatting skills, as well as his impressive attention to detail.)
113 - black hole sun (This one was really a tough choice. But even though WolfFeather writes the best racing game FAQs around, I can't but that above the amazingly professional look that black hole sun instills in his work, especially in his Metroid Prime FAQ.)
49 - Kain Stryder (Even though Kain's FAQs look somewhat constricted, I think that Dalez's format is just plain ugly.)
81 - Meowthnum1 (I just think that Lord Zero's writing style is fundamentally wrong for FAQ writing, though I guess that is only a matter of opinion.)
17 - SinirothX (Spanettone's format is sloppy to the point of confusion, and his writing skills are not as well developed as SinX's)

1 - Devin Morgan - the quality of his writing is absolutely superb, and the detail is amazing. The diversity and sheer amount of his FAQs is also enough to drop a few jaws. If only for the sheer diversity alone, he takes this match.
65 - Fox - he has some awesome FAQs, which go into impressive detail. The layout is quite nice, and organized as well.
33 - Aaron Baker - he's a great author, who writes for some great games. The layout in his guides may use a little help, but, the sheer detail he puts into them is enough to get him my vote, although it is a VERY close match-up, IMO.
32 - Myke - you can see that he puts a lot into his FAQs, as he keeps the layout looking nice, yet doesn't overkill it, and he also provides excellent coverage for any game he decides to write an FAQ for.
113 - black hole sun - first off, I'm not a real big fan of Wolf Feather's guides, and it doesn't help matters for her that BHS is an awesome writer. Some of his guides need a little format work, but in my eyes, he's the superior writer.
49 - Kain Stryder - one of my favorite authors on the site, seriously. All of his FAQs go into great depth (especially his FF2/4 FAQ, which covers every facet of that game). But, he has gone overkill on the DBZ games (great guides, though).
81 - Meowthnum1 - he has some of the best guides on the site, and covers them with articulation, and the format of the guides is always clear and precise. Although, I do love a lot of Lord Zero's guides.

Devin Morgan (Devin just outclasses in all areas, even if he can be a little monotonous in his writing at times).
Fox (Fox's ability to convey information in a pleasing matter wins the vote).
ExDeath (close, but Baker's callous remark that "no one plays this game anymore, so I will not update" really made up my mind).
Myke (Myke writes stuff that actually interests me, and he does it well).
Wolf Feather (close, but the insane detail that Wolfie puts into his FAQs swayed me).
Kain Stryder (as much as I like Dalez work, Stryder also has done an RPG FAQ and ge did it better than Dalez).
Meowthnum1 (poor spelling and sentence structure hurts Lord Zero here as Meowthnum1 continues to improve the quality of his FAQs with each submission/rewrite).
SinirothX (a close one, but despite his poor formats in his larger FAQs, his quality of info indeed wins the day). --- Yap, yap, yap! Shut your trap! - Flak |

1 - Devin Morgan - Very detailed and to the point FAQs, not much humor but otherwise a very, very good FAQer. 65 - Fox - Very nice and detailed. 33 - Aaron Baker - He has written for a wide variety of games and many, many FAQs. 32 - Myke - He has very nice information. 16 - Wolf Feather - His FAQs are for very hard games to write for, and I admire that. 49 - Kain Stryder - He has written for a wide variety of systems and a wide variety of games with just better information. 81 - Meowthnum1 - I like his style of writing more and his formatting is better. 17 - SinirothX - I admire this guy a lot because he writes for tough games an is a very determined writer. --- RPG Elite (298) Nemesis : little_jewell | FAQs: 6 (2366 KB) | Reviews: 5 (20 KB) |

I'll give it a go.
1 - Devin Morgan Li's FAQs are good, but they lack the detail and step-by-step walkthroughs that Morgan incorporates into his FAQs.
65 - Fox Fox has always been one of my favorite FAQ authors, and he comes through as the clear winner of this match-up. His FAQs have that same attention to detail, plus lots of variety in the games he's written for.
33 - Aaron Baker Exdeath's "Go here. Do this. Go there. Do that" style bored the hell out of me, and Aaron Baker has some great formatting and writing in his FAQs.
32 - Myke Myke's got the variety and some pretty neat lookin' FAQs.
113 - black hole sun bhs had good variety and well written FAQs, and ultimately it was that variety that won me over.
80 - Dalez Simple layouts and simple explanations make for small yet informative FAQs.
81 - Meowthnum1 There's always the hint of humor in Trace's FAQs, along with that detail I love so much. And that's after actually reading Lord Zero's stuff.
17 - SinirothX The FAQs are formatted well, written well, and all that good stuff. Spanettone's stuff seemed to be mostly FAQ, no walkthrough. Though my Italian is a bit rusty...

1 - Devin Morgan CChan's work is indeed good, but the problem is that he doesn't go into enough detail. He doesn't have enough great guides to really stand a chance against Devin, sadly. Plus, I like Devin's format more.
65 - Fox Fox is one of the greatest progressing writers on the whole site. His Final Fantasy Origins guide destroys just about everything that his opponent wrote, and his Dreamcast guides also own. So I have to go with Fox here.
33 - Aaron Baker As much as I am a fan of Exdeath, I loathe his format and he doesn't have enough variety as Aaron Baker here does. Aaron Baker's guides are flooded with detail, he has a great format, and a lot of his guides are very helpful. So he overall wins.
32 - Myke Myke's FAQs are AWESOME. Even though his format could use a little work, Myke is one of the best writers on the site. His NASCAR guides are awesome, and gotta love the detail. GLC only writes for Arcade fighting games, so I have to go with Myke.
16 - Wolf Feather I just never was a big fan of black hole sun's work. I didn't like his TimeSplitters 2 guide that much, and even though he's still a good writer, I'll have to vote for Wolf Feather. Wolf Feather's racing guides are splendid and full of detail, although she might want to write for more than that. ;)
80 - Dalez Kain is a good author. His guides are detailed and well-formatted, but he has just written for too many DBZ games. Dalez, on the other hand, wrote for really difficult RPGs, and he writes for quite a few of them. His guides are very helpful, so I have to go with him.
ABSTAIN
17 - SinirothX SinirothX is, without a doubt, one of my top #10 favorite authors on the entire site. The other guy's guides aren't that great, while SinirothX deals with super-detailed RPG guides (which are also hard to write for), and his other guides are also very good. Rock on, SinirothX!

1 - Devin Morgan- Both of these authors are good and fairly well-organized, but it's a little bit easier to follow Devin's guides.
65 - Fox- It's much easier to read Fox's guides
33 - Aaron Baker- His guides have better format, and they're at 79 chars per line. Exdeath's has either too much "noise" in it, or not enough, IMO.
32 - Myke- Not only are Myke's guides slightly easier to read, but GLC has no variety in games.
ABSTAIN- I truly like both formats here, and I can't choose between either.
49 - Kain Stryder- Kain has better section headers, and the guides are slightly easier to read.
81 - Meowthnum1- Meowth's guides are very easy to read.
17 - SinirothX- I was confused when I read Spane's guides, for some reason.

1 - Devin Morgan (His stuff is easy on the eyes and very descriptive without becoming too large)
65 - Fox (His writing provides a more interesting read. Also, his FAQs are also nicely organized, making them a joy to look at.)
33 - Aaron Baker (His formatting is way better than Exdeath’s and his writing is more detailed)
32 - Myke (He has more variety in the game’s he has written for. His FAQs are also very detailed and contain everything they should.)
113 - black hole sun (Not only is his formatting just plain spiffy, but his writing is nice and detailed without getting way too big.)
80 - Dalez (Plenty of detail and simple formats. Stryder’s work is also terrific, but he doesn’t have as much variety.)
81 - Meowthnum1 (His quality of writing seems better than Lord Zero’s, and his layout is simple enough but still attractive.
17 - SinirothX (Even if some of his stuff is unnecessarily large, he puts in as much detail as he possibly can and has written for some huge games.)
