Well, after a long day of voting, and coming down to the very last second, we have 2 finalists. Thankfully the tourney is over after this, since it's done a number to me, to be honest... But remember, (legitimate) reasons ARE required for votes to count here; if you're gonna play games, don't bother voting, it's that simple.
The bracket/CRP links, should you need them at this point, can be found here:
http://members.verizon.net/~vze4c9cs/pbracket6.htm
And now, may the better of the two win this 6th tourney!

Adrenaline SL- Sorry Andrew, but Adrenaline is TEH PERFECT! First, she's a nice, lovely girl. And then her format, information, and writing style is pretty much the best you can get. She's funny and informative at the same time, and all of her FAQs are readable due to the sexy format that's within them. And did I mention she's a nice, lovely girl? --- Homer Simpson:Hello? Adrenaline SL - Schultz shouldn't have made it passed the last two rounds, so I'm giving my vote to the better writer of the two. Her FAQs are formatted in a FAR superior way, and she's got so much detail and information. --- "I pwned Link316!!!" - Me "Don't brag. Everyone's pwned Link316 at least once." - A Link to the Past |

I find it funny that people consider Adrenaline such a great writer, even though they think of her writing ability as secondary to the fact that she is a girl.
Including that she is a girl in the reasoning shouldn't even happen, since this is about *gasp* writing ability! Sure, she is a good writer, but you people don't have to mention it every ****ing round. We know. It isn't that big of a deal.
OFFENSIVE!!
My vote goes to Schultz. OMG, he is a guy, and he is just so good. He writes for the old school games that lack the attention needed, not for new games with several FAQs. Did I mention that he has enormous testicles? They make for a great surface to set his computer up on to write his awesome old school FAQs. Oh yeah, I can't believe he is a guy! Isn't that amazing? I'm sure his phallus would measure up to his writing ability, so he has to win this round.

LOL @ Dan
36 - Adrenaline SL - Anyway, my vote goes to Adrenaline, not for the fact that she is a woman, but because I prefer her FAQ's. Schultz is a fine writer himself, and without doubt one of the best on the site, but he just can't compete with Adrenaline. --- THE most comprehensive Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 2 guide on the net: http://faqs.ign.com/articles/446/446326p1.html |

2 - Andrew Schultz: Man, this stuff sure gets repetitive doesn't it? Schultz has the simple and well-written walkthroughs, attention to detail, and a wide variety of FAQs for games that would otherwise have nothing to their name. SL, despite her good walkthroughs and "teh boobage", seems to include more than is necessary.

2 - Andrew Schultz
Both are great writers, but the fact that Andrew has taken the time to write FAQs for old-school/odd games that probably would have never been covered is awesome. It shows that he is into this to help people, not to become popular like a lot of new writers.

XD
Adrenaline SL: She just has it all. Her writing covers everything little thing about the games she writes for and tons of humor keep it interesting. Also, her FAQs have some of the best formatting I've ever seen. Its insane how she came up with so many different layouts, especially considering that they all look awesome. --- "I meditate diligently every morning. The subjects are life and love. Sorry Dan, I'll refer to Adrenaline as a HE in this round. ;D
ASL has huge balls. His balls are gigantic. His abs are so wonderfully firm, and so is his buttocks. Oh, and his formatting beats Andrew's with a steel bat. But FAQing is not about formatting, is it? Andrew has a tame writing style that is often broken into nice paragraphs that reads smoothly, as if you're reading a strategy guide straight from the stores. His ASCII maps whup Adrenaline's, but then again, he practically has none that I can see. Andrew's guides are hard to navigate in comparison, and Adrenaline packs his guides full of tiny information--not just glitches that are not obvious, or codes that are infamous--but little things that make you curious after 40+ hours into the game. And Adrenaline explains them all. Andrew's stuff is A+ quality, but Adrenaline's guides are actually masterpieces in themselves. It's something that you appreciate, as a fan of the given game that he writes for. It's almost a fan-made collector's item, and I love it. Completely.)
Alas, I love Schultz. He's one of my top 10 favorites. But Adrenaline takes the cake, and my vote. Unless my vote was the cake.

Anyway I vote Andrew. Both are fine writers, both are very sexy people, so it comes down to trivial reasons. For me, its the fact without Andrew verbally poking me in the buttocks over AIM I wouldn't have written half the stuff I have done. If he was a woman, I'd have his babies.

Let's see...
Adrenaline SL: A very good and informative writer. Works hard on the guides, good length and description, and a wide variety of work
Andrew Schultz: More of a old school writer. Although his works are somewhat short, and many of the games he has written guides for I had no idea existed, he shows that he cares for his work and does a good job of it.
Personally, I like Adrenaline Sl's better, so thats who I vote for. --- Thank you, St. Peter. I look forward to hearing your response to the following: ( | ) This is your ass. It is very fat.-Seanbaby |

On a serious note, I am GENUINELY surprised that I managed to beat not only AstroBlue (which wasn't supposed to happen to begin with) but Devin as well. I feel I don't deserve this. ;[ Mainly because I've been inactive for over a year while teh Blue and Devin have been churning out guides regularly over the past year. To be honest, I feel like I'm overrated too with some people raving on about how I am the best writer ever. The praise is too much for me to handle. ;[ Don't get me wrong -- I sincerely appreciate all the comments that were made! This tourney has motivated me to begin writing FAQs again. So, uh, thanks to everyone for helping me get this far. YOU ARE ALL BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE!!!!!!

2 - Andrew Schultz - Both writers pay attention to extreme details (compare Schultz's tables with her move settings). Both writers have written detailed guides (although Schultz is short on some). Adren has the much better layout. But it all comes down to the quality of the work, and I feel Andrew is a hard-working person who makes sure every ounce of KB is put towards gaming information. I will make my vote based on the following criteria:
1. Format 2. Content 3. Flow Of Writing 4. Comprehensiveness 5. Range of Games/FAQ Types Covered
1) For format, you have Andrew on the one hand who uses a wide range of format types in the past four years, but his early ones are poorly done indeed. With ASL, you have a wide range of formats as well, but her constant switching is between multiple types of efficient space using formats that are just great to look at.
Winner: Adrenaline SL
Adrenaline SL - 1 ASchultz - 0
2) Content looks at how well an author covers all the information within a game. Andrew covers the in-game information well within General FAQs, but he also will make maps that are just amazingly high in quality.
Winner: ASchultz
Adrenaline SL - 1 ASchultz - 1
3) Flow Of Writing looks at how well an author puts together the words of their FAQ, making it easy on a person to use the FAQ. Although Andrew does a good job of this, he can not compare to Adrenaline in this instance. Her FAQs are like butter (which is good I assure you).
Winner: Adrenaline SL
Adrenaline SL - 2 ASchultz - 1
4) Comprehensiveness looks at how much of the game is covered, and if so, how good of quality is the detail used. Andrew covers everything within the game well, no matter how small or minute (offering strategies for escaping any situation). Adrenaline SL also does well in this area, but she can not compare to Andrew in this regard.
Winner: ASchultz
Adrenaline SL - 2 ASchultz - 2
5) The final decider is the range of Games/FAQ Types covered, meaning how many different genres of game and FAQ are done by an author. Andrew is the clear winner here, offering up anything from the simplest Atari games all the way up to PSX. Anything from simple Arcade shooters to strategy games. ASL does alright in this area, but she is limited mostly to RPG, adventure, and platformers.
Winner: ASchultz
Adrenaline SL - 2 ASchultz - 3
Ultimate Grand Winner: ASchultz
So there you have it... I vote for Andrew as he is truly a spectacle to behold in FAQing. He is not a niche writer like so many... rather, he jumps up and takes on all sorts of different challenges within his FAQing, and he does it so well no matter what the situation. Props to ASL, but she is outmatched against Andrew. --- 34 FAQs for games never covered at www.GameFAQs.com. |

Andrew is teh King. *Votes for him* As if biggest Testicles wasn't enough for him to win (ASL has none >_>). His guides are amazing, the use of the text maps in his MCIII and BM guides are nice and both have one my FOTD twice now. Plus Andrew covers games that I've never heard of, There's always someone to write a guide for Grand Theft Auto, but who's going to write the guide for Magic Candle III? Andrew Schultz, that's who.

Now, my vote goes to Adrenaline here. Now, this was BY FAR the most difficult choice I've had to make throughout this whole entire tournament (obviously, it's the final round!). Now, Andrew is a great writer, don't get me wrong (a definite top 10 candidate), but I find Adrenaline's work to be better flowing, and more entertaining to read all in all). Her format is immensely attractive, and the headers in her guides are awe-inspiring, sometimes making you wonder how she ever came up with them. Andrew's format and headers are rather bland, boring, and sometimes make it difficult to navigate his FAQs (sometimes because of lack of headers). I know he tries to keep his FAQs as unfillerized as humanly possible. But you know, it is acceptable to change it around sometimes, Andy. :P While it is effective and gets the job done effectively and in a succinct, breviloquent fashion, it never changes throughout his FAQs, sadly. ASL's, however, do change a lot, and always look flashy, while not fillerizing her guides beyond a feasible extremity. Her layout keeps everything concise, and never lets you get lost in one of her FAQs. Now, the info they each provide is solid gold. While I think Andrew goes more in-depth with games' obscurities (plus every damn thing else), Adrenaline, provides much info as well. They both write for a varity of genres, and tons of different FAQs. Adrenaline's constant humor, and smartass personality keeps reading her FAQs interesting and entertaining. Her aesthetically-pleasing and piquant writing style, plus the awesome detailed information she provides gets her the victory, and my vote here. Now, since I voted for you, let me see those b00bz0rz!

36 - AdrenalineSL Yep, my vote will have to go to Adrenaline on this one. This was perhaps the hardest choice that I've had to make in the entire tourney, and perhaps in the history of the prolific tourneys, but I'll have to do perhaps my favorite writer on the entire site a favor for this one. First of all, in terms of format, Adrenaline really beats up Andrew Schultz. Andrew's format is indeed good, but it eventually gets pretty bland and tedious. The thing abut Adrenaline's format is that she constantly tries new format. Look between her guides for MGS2, CT, and CC. They are all entirely different, and even so, she manages to find a good to look, and at times very interesting format. Adrenaline is unstoppable in terms of format, and you have to compare to the fact that Andrew sometimes doesn't use headers, and his old format is very ugly. So in terms of format, Adrenaline totally takes the cake. Another thing is that Adrenaline's FAQs are made extremely easy to read and browse at all times. Never once will you have to look back and ask, "Where, uh... was I again?" At times, you may get a bit lost in Andrew's guides, since he does use ASCII quite a bit. The ASCII is done incredibly well, however. But perhaps the best thing about Adrenaline's guides is that she doesn't have but one guide that isn't littered with funny jokes. Adrenaline cannot be matched when it comes to humor. Jokes like, "omG uR fAq sUx! u SUCK! ur a *****!" always tend to crack me up. That's why I love Adrenaline's guides. Andrew's guides can be a little bland, since he doesn't put enough humor in them, although occasionally you can enjoy them, but Adrenaline totally wins there. And finally, the detail that Adrenaline and ASchultz use is about the same. So overall, the detail is the same, but Adrenaline is just better in format, humor, and layout, which is why I chose her. However, Andrew is VERY damn good at ASCII, though.
