Good luck to everyone! Today's matchup is:
Division 7
6 - Split Infinity vs. 70 - Shdwrlm
91 - BTB vs. 27 - Efrem Orrizonte

6 - Split Infinity - the better writer. Has the best FFX guides around.
27 - Efrem Orrizonte - a good writer with lots od detail and a good format.
11 - mysticcat - no contest. mysticcat's RE FAQs are 10X better.
86 - Atom Edge - another author worthy of my vote because of the wonderful style, format and ASCII. --- "I pwned Link316!!!" - Me "Don't brag. Everyone's pwned Link316 at least once." - A Link to the Past |

6 - Split Infinity - great, detailed FFX walkthrough, and his FFX-2 is SUPER good. Clearly the better writer.
27 - Efrem Orrizonte - BTB isn't even prolific anymore, btw. Plus, I never did like his work that much, since his paragraphs were WAY too big, the guides were hard to browse, and Efrem's guides are much better formatted.
11 - mysticcat - mysticcat is one of my favorite writers. Her Legend of Dragoon guide helped me through the game, and I also enjoy her survival horror guides.
86 - Atom Edge - Atom Edge is one of the best lower-ranked prolific authors. His ASCII and format ROCK, not to mention his FF6 guide was fantastic.

70 - Shdwrlm: I've never been too keen on Split Infinity's stuff, and Shdwrlm has always been one of my favorite writers. His Sword of Mana FAQ is one of the best I've read, with a terrific format and awesome detail.
Abstain
11 - mysticcat: Nicer formatting and more detailed, better written stuff.
86 - Atom Edge: His ASCII and layouts are fantastic, and I love his Illusion of Gaia and FF Tactics FAQs. --- "I meditate diligently every morning. The subjects are life and love. I quit after three seconds." ~ Vash the Stampede, Trigun |

Supposedly, a bunch of users complained about the abundant profanity and insubstantiality of it, and word got to CNET, they agreed, and it was taken down. That's what I heard, and it may not be correct, and I hope it's not, because that sounds really stupid. --- Everything in fiction is a symbol. Except a cymbal. That's just a pun. 70 - Shdwrlm - SI seems to go overboard. His format looks boring due to Overload of content. Shdwrlm has nice format which boosts him over SI.
91 - BTB - Funny writer with loads of information, covering every aspect of his games. He inspired me greatly.
ABSTAIN
86 - Atom Edge - He has the best ASCII ever made. He has helped so many people that he deserves to be one of the wisest and informative writers.

70 - Shdwrlm (I can never find anything in SI's guides, Shadow rocks my boxer shorts.) 27 - Efrem Orrizonte (Much love to Chad, as his stuff is golden, but I've been a fan of Efrem for years.) 11 - mysticcat (some of the best looking guides ever created. they speak for themselves) 86 - Atom Edge (easy one. Illusion of Gaia has tidbits that I never even knew about the game. Plus, ASCII would be stupid without the master)
Also: It's bull that CNET took down Chad's guide. He worked on that thing for half of a year. At least it's still up at IGN. And who would've thought the words "GameFAQs Sold Out Compared To IGN" would ever come up ever? ;)

Division 7
70 - Shdwrlm (Shdwrlm has a more impressive format: i.e. line breaks, section headers, etc. Also I like his writing style, and his use of more descriptive words and phrases. In some sections he really paints a vivid picture with his words.)
27 - Efrem Orrizonte (I just feel that BTB's constant joke telling, while making the FAQ a little more entertaining at times, does also end up making it more difficult to follow. I also think he could organize his information a little better.)
75 - DjSiXpAcK14 (Mysticcat's paragraphs are IMO horribly arranged; in fact they're so bad that it almost hurts me eyes to read them. But Dj here has a nice, easily read walkthrough, and his information is almost perfectly spaced out. In fact, one of his FAQs reminded me of my "Space Quest" FAQs.)
86 - Atom Edge (Even though I think Atom Edge doesn't always cover a game as thoroughly as he could, I do think he has one of the most professional formats I've ever seen.)

70 - Shdwrlm: Split Infinity's format and section dividers aren't too pretty, and Shdwrlm has the good lookin' format with good walkthroughs to boot.
27 - Efrem Orrizonte: FF7 is missing for some reason, and I'm afraid BTB's other FAQs aren't enough to beat the amount of quality work Orrizonte has to his name.
11 - mysticcat: I used their RE2 walkthroughs to compare, and mysticcat's was better. I've always preferred the paragraph-style walkthroughs over room-to-room ones.
86 - Atom Edge: Atom Edge's FAQs are structured pretty damn well. I never noticed until today. So, his super-structured and well-written FAQs beat hooi's.

6 - Split Infinity - Split has been one of the most influential writers for me, and that FFX guide is simply brilliant. While I think sometimes he overdoes the ASCII, the content is great.
27 - Efrem Orrizonte - Er let's see. Two crappy, filler induced (wait, make that one) guide vs a multitude of great FAQ's. No brainer this one.
11 - mysticcat - A nice DMC2 guide, amongst others.
86 - Atom Edge <3 the FAQ's, and most of all, <3 the ASCII. 'Nuff said, really. --- ZRSHFT276 | <32> | OSF http://faqs.ign.com/articles/446/446326p1.html <- Last Updated 15/1/04 |

Division 7
6 - Split Infinity - Superb writer who can overwhelm users with great layouts and in-depth information. Plus, he's one of the few writers who have successfully mastered the art of "Traps."
91 - BTB - Amazing ASCII art despite a miniscule 2 guides. A very underrated writer on the site. Only a matter of time before he's one of the very best.
11 - mysticcat - Both people write for similar games, however, cat simply has a better format, and more guides that can help a greater amount of people.
107 - hooi - writes ENGLISH guides that are not for English games. And the guides are actually helpful, with detailed walkthroughs. Not much to compare with atomic. --- "Some people make sacrifices to make other people happy." http://antseezee.sphosting.com/ - An updated NES Rarity Guide is out! |

6 - Split Infinity vs. 70 - Shdwrlm3 Certainly the better format (both the small and bigger FAQ's of Split could use a format change like full length section headers in the small ones) and more in depth walkthroughs.
91 - BTB vs. 27 - Efrem Orrizonte Easy, it is not only that Chad isn't a prolific writer and this is still a prolific tournament, his section headers are ugly. 11 - mysticcat vs. 75 - DjSiXpAcK14: Better format and more in depth. But Mysticcat has room for improvement, I think blank lines bewteen paragraphs couldn't hurt in some sections.
86 - Atom Edge vs. 107 - hooi: More in depth writing. --- Goku- Look Vegeta! People popcorn! Vegeta- Ah! What is he on?! |

70 - Shdwrlm3: For the first time ever, I actually got lost looking at a FAQ/Walkthrough. For a game that to me, seemed extremely linear and straightforward. Shdwrlm is a lot more brief but is still detailed.
Abstain.
11 - cat: This was easy since both write guides for the same games. cat is way more in-depth.
86 - Atom Edge: His guides are in-depth and they have good formats. They are both good writers, but I like Atom Edge's works a little bit more. --- "You're about to die. Scream if you must." Proud Ex-Member of the Star Ocean 2 Social |

Funny thing Steve, I have seen the e-mail from CJayC about it. I love when you just assume things about people you only know over the internet as what you know about them is not likely true (try to keep your stance on people and the boards straight for once).
A few users complained and then a CNET executive agreed that it was too lewd to be posted (thus telling Ceej it was to be taken down). However, I believe he is working on re-censoring so he can submit it once more.
Neither (I did not find one to be any better thanthe other).
91 - BTB (despite the lack of prolific status he currently has, BTB still gets my vote as he combines excellent knowledge of the subjects he writes on with some humour. He does go overboard on occasion, but ultimately it is a treat to read [I adore his DWIV FAQ]).
11 - mysticcat (no contest as mysticcat is a superior writer in comprhensiveness).
Neither (Dial-Up at my parent's is annoying me to no end, so after quite a few minutes of looking on slow, I was unable to find anyone that jumped out here as the winner). --- 34 FAQs for games never covered at www.GameFAQs.com. |

Irony in its truest form. I was making a comment on his internet persona. he ran away from FCB when kruster started to pick on him. I did not make any comments on his real life like your buddies do to me. Nice try though.. --- [ #3 ] No more games, I'm gonna change what you call rage. <Proud Fiance of Karpah> |

Not to be an ass but irony only has one form, it is inanimate and therefore cannot evolve or change emotionally or contextually. Irony is irony. It might be portrayed differently from situation to situation and made to fit accordingly, but it is all one and the same in the end.

70 - ShdwRlm3 - Excellent writer, SI goes overboard. 27 - Efrem Orrizonte - BTB's attention to detail is beyond what's needed. I like Efrem's FAQs. 11 - mysticcat - Excellent writer, admire writer's like her and YSF who can write great FAQs despite language barrier. 86 - Atom Edge - Loved his FFT setups FAQ. --- AstroBlue | (CRP #4127) <BGFC> <FSSFHRB> Visualshock!
