| Right then, with the opening match of the Non-Prolific FAQ Writers Tourney only a weekend away, it's about the right time for me to unveil a new system of voting. OK, rather than simply posting a vote for the best FAQer in each match, you will now have 3 "points" to distribute between the competitors. This might sound initially rather complicated, but it really is very simple: If you feel "FAQ A" is a great deal better than "FAQ B", you should distribute the points in the manner: "FAQ A" 3 - "FAQ B" 0 If, however, you feel "FAQ A" is only marginally better than "FAQ B", you should distribute the points in this way: "FAQ A" 2 - "FAQ B" 1 ... and so on and so forth. Hopefully, this particular system will negate the need for abstaining during the more evenly-fought matches. Also, because of the varying degrees of point distribution, it will become very easy to weed out any spam voters/voters who have not actually read the competitors' FAQs. OK, any questions? | Well in my sig you can see for yourslef, but isn't it to become prolific you have to breah 1512KB or something like that. And anyways, I've submitted images as well, which shouldn't count as guides. | I like this system, more simplistic than some people who go overboard (5-10 points), yet balanced enough to add an element of Stratego. | According to the official rules at the site, you only need to be non-prolific by a certain date, one that has passed, in order to be in the tournament. If you become prolific after that date, including now, you can still be in it. --- I need a new sig. |
