Writing DDR FAQs is hard.

Particularly when, in order to do complete song lists, you have to sign for an online service and dump more money into the game. :(

But surely the DDR fans appreciate it... well, some of them maybe.

What do you mean 'pay for an online service' to get a full song list for a game? Wouldn't you get that just by playing the game and unlocking them all?

Of course, though, you rock at it, and more importantly, you helped me.

Kinda.

The best I've got was a C but mostly I get a D rating. I usually play it for laughs.

I got it last summer, sucked horribly at it, and am getting back into it now (I have Konamix somewhere, but I'm playing Max). I've got AA rating on, like, seven songs, As on a couple more, but on the harder songs, I'm lost, and I'll be darned if I do Standard for anything more than kicks (actually, I think I got an A on one).

I'm just starting to play them... I get an A regularly on 4 difficulty, but struggle on 5 difficulty, especially with those triple steps or whatever. >_<

I'm starting to play it a bit more these days.

I got my first A on a 9foot heavy song, which is weird since a lot of 8foot heavies kill me.

The game's still a blast to play, I can't wait for extreme 2 and I'm interested to see what the mario one will be like.

I can AA some 8-9 footers, whoo! I'm also the only person I know who owns a Cobalt Flux pad. ;)

If I get decent at it, I'ma get a CF pad.

Dan: I'm also looking forward to the Nintendo one, especially if they can license some series that have traditionally been Nintendo series (how awesome would it be to dance to a Shadowman [Megaman 3] remix?).

You guys are too good. I was proud to get an A on a Standard song period (Ordinary World - DDRMAX). Heck, I still can't A/AA a lot of Light songs.

I might be getting Extreme today, though.

I haven't played DDR much (bar sometimes at the arcade) but my sister tried to get into it and got Dance UK which is possibly the worst clone to any game series ever made. She said she would take it back and get a refund; that was two years ago.

This isn't set in stone, mind you, but from what I've seen, they're focusing on Mario tunes and a few "classical" remixes (Mozart and the like). I don't think we'll be seeing any KOs.

And I hear the difficulty is "reasonably hard". That probably means nothing of a ten-footer level. This is the first N Mix, after all.

Donkey Konga was hard, and they were advertising it the same way.
