I'm sure we've all had those FAQs that we're eager to start, but get too bored with to finish.

I have plenty of scrapped ones:
-Dino Crisis 2; thought I would replay it to FAQ it, but never did
-Final Fantasy VII Encyclopedia; I worked on it for a year but it was just ugly
-Final Fantasy Origins; I was going to do a party combination guide with input of the cost, difficulty, and such of each party combination
-Nox; installed it, but computer crashed soon after
-Rolan's Curse Password Guide; no way to make it smaller than at least 10MB, may come up with a solution eventually

and other ones.

I wanted to do a Mi'hen Highroad Vermin Colony FAQ and a Dossier List for FFX-2, but decided not to since it was useless and I got bored with the projects. I have a few right now that I've been thinking of dumping behind, but since I've started, I doubt I will.

Number of official GameFAQs Knick fans: 10
Flag me down if you're a fan!

Golden Sun (209 kb, 70% done) - started but never finished due to time and lack of interest.
Metroid: Zero Mission (138 kb, 80% done) - started and submitted but removed due to lost savegame and lack of interest.
Splinter Cell (179 kb, 80% done) - same as MZM, got sick of the game.
Super Mario World (104 kb, 30% done) - realized this would be useless.

And a few projects which I've started but never really bothered on continuing (all are around 20-40 kb): Zelda LTTP, Fire Emblem 8, GTA Advance, Wario Ware, Baldur's Gate DA, Kwirk (couldn't finish 2 levels, animated solutions for the rest done though), Secret of Monkey Island, Final Fantasy IX (game was too complex), Super Metroid, GTA Vice City (too big + oversaturated), Sword of Mana (game wasn't as good as expected).

And a few 3-5 kb skeletons I just found: Bahamut Lagoon, Cannon Fodder, UT2003, Yoshi's Safari.

I suck :(

But I hope to finish Golden Sun and Metroid ZM some day, those would be quality works when finished.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II The Sith Lords (visual guide on my site, not a GameFAQs version) - got a good start, but then lost the will to keep playing the game, especially the Darkside path.

Freedom Force vs the Third Reich - finished the walkthrough, got my IGN bounty, and let it drop. I simply don't care enough about the game to fill in all the character information.

Need for Speed Underground 2 - have thought about doing this one, as the FAQs currently here are not that helpful, but the game is so freakin' tedious...

I was planning on making image maps of all of the Doom II levels, but that got old fast. I took down the four maps I had already submitted because I didn't really like them.

I'm "working" on a FAQ for Castlevania III that might not last too much longer. If I don't make any noticable progerss by the end of the summer I'm scrapping it.

PuzzPack for the TI-83+.

I finished most of it when GameFAQs decided to dump its Misc. Portable section (as well as the other Misc. systems). I don't think that GameFAQs will ever bring them back, so the guide will probably stay on my computer until I get around to making an html version for my site (could take years).

I remember playing that, and a demo of Two Towers; and I read a review for the full game, which they weren't impressed with. That review mentioned a Return of the King game coming the year after, but that never happened as far as I know...

It's a pity, but it appears that the best the LotR franchise has to offer in terms of straight RPGs is The Third Age.

I scrapped my Legend of Zelda FAQ for NES, but I only got to the Table of Contents before I scrapped it.

I've never scrapped a FAQ. I'll work on it until it's done. The problem is that I'm not very motivated, and I'll often take huge month+ breaks.

Diablo II - It had everything, but the layout and format sucked. Lots of filler and it looked ugly that way, so I scrapped it.

Skies of Arcadia - Headed into the right direction when I was replaying the game a second time. Then I stopped playing it.

Breath of Fire 2 - The crap that I submitted many years ago is still up there, but I was re-writing it about a year ago and suddenly got sick of it.

That one Dash level where you're running to school was insanely difficult for some reason.

Once I figured out how to boost over ramps, it was pretty easy. But I'm banging my head against the first island sequence with Mr. Incredible. The controls (on the PC anyway) are very loose, and some of the jumps seem to come more by luck than any skill on my part. There's one jump I can only make about one time in ten, and each time I get past it, I invariably fall in the water and have to go back and try it over and over and over again.

:sigh:

Oh well, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (PC) sucks even worse, so I may have to try Incredibles again since Dungeon Siege II is delayed.

I have only scrapped one guide, it was for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, I preordered it, set up my format of the guide, put in some of the sections I knew would be there, picked up the game, got about 5-10 percent into the game, went on vacation for 2 days, came back their were 5 guides already on their, so I just scrapped it, its not worth wasting time if their are already 5 for it.
