Actually no. They brought up valid points, maybe not as sugar-coated as
they should be, but they were valid. Instead of escalating the
situation, you should have just let it die. This pride of yours is
going to get you into major trouble down the road whenever you feel
your "honor" has been tarnished.
The more you feed fuel into the fire, the more you will be "picked" on which in return will result in more return fire from you. Do you see the vicious cycle here.
Plus, the only thing they commented on was the fact that the last few things you have tried to organize fell apart. This is true and even you admitted it was so. After somebody fails a few times at the same thing, it takes that much more to bring them back again.
Instead of talking about it, do something about it, but quit arguing over the facts. Basically, prove everybody wrong in the area that you will have a tournament succeed.

LOL, nm14. I would have thought you had learned your lesson last time.
He'll probably end up closing this topic after he gets stumped by some
form of simple logic.
fp: Did a little more on Substance today. I have that SA FAQ sitting on the backburner for the moment, I'm not sure whether I can be bothered finishing it. Tge spur of motivation I had seems to have gone away, though that's probably due to my severe insomnia.
lp: Still sick. I now have a middle-ear infection, as I had assumed. The past two days my left ear has been nearly completely blocked, and it's very annoying. I have some medication now, so it's starting to clear up. I have also had a lot of trouble sleeping because of coughing, etc. The past two nights I couldn't get to sleep until 6 AM. :/

GP : Finished my Franchise in ESPN NFL 2k5 and got a perfect season. Now I'm just going to finish the off-season, up the difficulty, and play mainly passing plays. I already got all of the rushing awards and rushed over 3000 yards with Corey Dillon.

fp: Lots of work done on Substance, including a walkthrough for
the last Snake Tale, as well as work on the general walkthrough. Very
happy with what I've done so far. I'm tempted to submit a half finished
version, just so I'll have the motivation to complete it. The
strategies listed are still the best you will find.

FP: Nothing, although my laptop has given me a slight FAQing inspiration so I might crack on Mario & Luigi later.
GP: Breath of Fire IV
LP: Had a great birthday; the laptop was a real surprise and it's really mint; I went for a meal to the cinema to see War of the Worlds which is perhaps one of the best films I've ever seen, really liked. Also had my first legal pint too. =) Carter came round earlier as well which was ace too. Good times. =D

Did a little bit of work on my secret project, taking it past the 100KB mark. Hopefully, I'll be adding more to it today if I feel like doing anything.
Game Progress
Everquest Online Adventures and Riviera. I've finished Riviera and am playing through a second time, paying more attention to the basics of the game since I didn't know what the hell I was doing in the beginning the first time around. On EQOA, my Human Shadowknight finally achieved level 60 and my Human Enchanter is level 49 and has completed her level 49 Epic quest.

At around 11PM last night, my family and I hear around 10-15 shots fired nearby. Around 30 minutes later, my uncle looks outside and sees some cops' lights flashing up the street. I didn't see anything on the news yet, so I don't really know what's happening.
